Luxury journeys to Peru · Groups large or small

Peru, as only
a Peruvian can show it.

Machu Picchu before the crowds. Tables in Lima you'd never find alone. Quiet mornings on the highest navigable lake on earth. Hosted by Roy, who calls this country home.

Machu Picchu, first light

Our philosophy

Peru is not a place you see. It's a place you feel — in the thin, bright air of the Andes, in the hush of a cloud forest at dawn, in the first sip of a pisco sour poured by someone who's been making them for thirty years.

We take groups of travelers, large or small, into the heart of it. Every hotel is chosen by hand, every guide is someone we know by name, and every day is shaped around beauty, culture and the unhurried moments that stay with you long after you've flown home.

Roy's Peru

A homecoming, every time.

Roy is Peruvian, and he has never stopped being in love with his country. Its mountains, its markets, its music, its food — and most of all its people. Explore began with a simple wish: to share the Peru he knows with the people we care about.

When you travel with us, you're not following a tour guide with a flag. You're being welcomed the way a Peruvian family welcomes guests — with warmth, with generosity, and with a table that's always a little too full.

Roy handles the introductions: the weaver in Chinchero whose family has worked the same patterns for generations, the chef who'll pull you into the kitchen, the quiet viewpoint above the Sacred Valley that isn't on any map. That's the difference between visiting Peru and belonging to it, if only for a little while.

The experience

Five landscapes. One unforgettable country.

Desert coast to glacier peaks to rainforest — Peru holds more of the world's beauty than seems possible for one country. Our journeys move through it slowly, and in style.

Lima

The table where the journey begins

South America's culinary capital, perched on cliffs above the Pacific. Private market mornings, tasting menus at the restaurants that put Peruvian cuisine on the world stage, and a pisco sour lesson in the city that perfected it.

II

The Sacred Valley

Where the Inca farmed the sky

Boutique haciendas beneath snow-capped peaks. Terraces carved into mountainsides centuries ago, living weaving traditions in Chinchero, and long dinners under a sky so clear it feels close enough to touch.

Machu Picchu & the living Andes

Culture you can hold in your hands

A scenic rail journey along the Urubamba River, then the citadel itself in the soft early light. Along the way: the textiles, rituals and mountain villages that make the Andes a living culture, not a museum.

Across the altiplano

The high plains, by rail

Polished wood, white linen and a window full of mountains. The journey across the high Andean plains to Lake Titicaca is one of the great rail experiences of the world — and every bit as beautiful as the destination.

The Amazon

A different kind of silence

Mist rising off the canopy at dawn. Pink river dolphins, macaws, and the sounds of the rainforest from the deck of a boutique river cruise or a secluded jungle lodge. The wildest, most alive chapter of all.

I was born and raised in Peru. I earned my degree in Hotel and Tourism Administration at Ricardo Palma University in 2004 and began my career as a Tour Coordinator, working for a large organization named The Hope Alliance in Lima.

After immigrating to the USA, I was anxious to continue my career in hospitality. In 2008 I started working for one of the most exclusive resorts in North America. Stein Eriksen Lodge became a game changer and was eye-opening for me — ten years with the company gave me a complete understanding of the highest customer service in the industry and what it takes to be a Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five Diamond luxury hotel and resort.

With the knowledge to do great, and the desire to come back to my roots, in 2017 I started sharing my passion for my country, inviting a few friends to travel with me to Peru. What started as a small project quickly became a business. EXPLORE represents the beginning of an exciting journey, and I know that with dedication, hard work and passion for what I do, I will be able to achieve my dreams.

I am an active professional and pride myself on my ability to add personal touches to every tour I conduct. It is extremely important to me that my guests return home with experiences to remember.

I've traveled to over 100 different countries and have a passion for learning to understand cultures and lifestyles from around the world. I recently completed a 24-day trip around the world with my dad, and it was the most breathtaking experience of my life.

Being in hospitality for the last 20 years, I have learned that memories are the true treasure in life. Experiencing every corner of the globe is a passion of mine, and I hope to continue to share that passion with all of you.

I focus mainly on Asia, the Middle East and Eastern European countries. I like to build itineraries with a little bit of adventure and leisure combined — one day white-water rafting in the jungles of Thailand, the next getting massages on the beaches of Malaysia.

Safety and comfort are top priority when it comes to traveling abroad. I want my travel companions to always feel welcomed and relaxed, while making life richer with moments to hold onto forever.
